School Council

To find out more about the School Council, we asked them to write about it themselves.

Here's what they had to say:

At School Council we get together every Wednesday lunchtime to talk about how and what we could do to make our school better. We always listen to other people's views and mention them in our meetings.

At the end of our meetings we are given tasks to do with our classes, e.g. how to make British Values fun. Sometimes we do PowerPoint presentations to help our classes understand the things we've been discussing. We write down the ideas that our classes have and debate on an idea to take back to our meetings.

School Council isn't all about talking. We also have MPs visit (like Councillor Susan Eaves), we go on safety walks and go on trips.

School Council is led by Mrs McMahon and Miss Norwood.
